Barbie - Bambusa chungii barballata

Barbie - bamboo.

An unfortunate name for a great plant. Somewhat shorter than it's stunning relation Tropical Blue Bamboo, we expect these plants to top at about 25-30 feet. Because the canes are narrower than the Tropical Blue Bamboo, the color is a bit more subtle but still blue and still gorgeous.

It has a smaller footprint than Tropical Blue which makes it ideal for tighter locations and smaller gardens. We're loving this for hedges and in our own installations, we're using them instead of Chinese Hedge Bamboo.
